Spring Cleaning - hard work yet such a fantastic settle!
Spring-cleaning: for some a job for others a joy. I found out about this routine at a very early age. Now, the thought of spring-cleaning stimulates priceless memories.
When I was a young child, back in the land of four seasons as well as none rain, the cold preventing days of winter months were ushered out with a yearly ranch routine: spring-cleaning. No corner of our home was left unblemished by mops, dusters, scrub brushes, rags and various other cleansing tools. Every inch of closet was emptied, supplies were taken, worth was assessed, surfaces were washed as well as cleaned up, and afterwards those clothes that were still 'good' were organized in a beneficial and also reliable way. Beds were moved, dressers cleared, ceilings cleaned.
My memory of selection is the home window cleaning. After windowpanes were eliminated for cleansing, the windowsill came to be an area of pure ecstasy! I can quickly remember those minutes: remaining on my perfect perch, watching the ice break up in the creek behind our house. Significant items floated by, breaking loudly, twisting, crunching, accumulating in a disorderly announcement of the new season's arrival. Fresh air was in abundance; pussy willows to the left, bird feeders with chirping chickadees to the right. It was divine!
It was that sort of day where I found out that hard work pays off. At that early age, I felt the modification of power in my house and also in myself after a day of thorough de-cluttering and cleaning. The house felt lighter, brighter, much more pleasant. I seemed like missing.
